Associate Director of Human Resources

Department: Human Resources

Purpose of the Position:

The position is responsible for HR policies, and practices for the Massachusetts sites of Nitto Avecia Inc. The position is also responsible for leadership of one or more human resources functions ( compensation, talent acquisition, communications, etc.), across the Nitto Avecia sites.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and administer HR policies and practices for the Milford, MA location that enable a positive employee relations environment.

  • Leads employee engagement activities with a view to improve employee satisfaction and minimize voluntary turnover

  • Coach and advise employees and managers on employee relations issues.

  • Ensure that employee communications processes and practices at the Massachusetts sites are in optimal

  • Oversee employee performance and succession planning for at the Massachusetts sites

  • Manage one or more human resources functions and staff Nitto Avecia

Problem Solving:

The position is challenged to implement and interpret policies and procedures in line with the needs of the business while meeting the needs of employees and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. The incumbent must act effectively as HR coach, mentor and counselor maintaining credibility at all levels of the Milford organization. The position must effectively influence across multiple levels of management and sites.

Job Knowledge Required:

The position requires a BS degree with 7+years of experience in a senior HR management role. Experience providing HR leadership in a technical manufacturing environment is required. Experience in the design and administration of compensation systems is required. The position requires experience as HR decision maker or advisor at a site or business level. The ability to interact effectively at the executive level and plant floor level is necessary. PHR/SPHR preferred.
