Supply Chain Materials Planner

Purpose of the Position:

This position will perform multiple Supply Chain Management function by determining resources needed to meet the manufacturing production Master Schedule for GMP; as needed Product development and Oligrow schedule.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Run MRP (in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet). Maintains planning parameters in order execution systems in MRP to ensure proper order generation. Drives inventory reduction having a good understanding of Nitto Avecia (SSL safety stock levels for the site) and supplier lead times.

  • Analyzes the Material Requirement Plan to calculate raw material needed to support site production schedule

  • Monitors overall production schedules, raw material inventory levels & supplier shipments to advise of any issues in the Supply Chain

  • Works closely with all areas in the organization to ensure smooth and accurate execution of the production schedule. Reviews production line availability and adjusts the schedule as required

  • Inventory management and forecasting

  • Ongoing BOM / recipe development

  • Lead & coordinate monthly and yearly Cycle Count. Analyzes and, when able, corrects cycle count discrepancies if needed

  • Integral role within the organization taking ownership and day to day management for all material that Manufacturing requires per Manufacturing pick list and requests

  • Ensures accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review.

  • Performs all work within company and cGMP regulatory compliance.

Job Knowledge Required:

  • College degree is preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in production planning for GMP or ISO materials

  • Ability to work effectively with numerous internal and external customers from a variety of departments/suppliers/customers

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work without close supervision

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with the ability to adjust and reprioritize quickly

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Ability to combine different reports to run the MRP

  • Working knowledge of MAS90 materials/inventory functionality. Good understanding of Oracle preferred

  • Strong communication and written skills
